Vince76
Can anyone help me identify this windshield swing arm. I have the windshield frame it came off and if I can ID the arm, I'll know what the frame came from. Oregon Desert model 45
I have one just like it except with 4 screw holes in the fixed bracket. It was identified as 1927-28 Chevrolet cabriolet
Vince76
I will search 1927 1928 Chevrolet and see what I can find out. Vincent
keiser31
It would have to be cabriolet only as the closed cars had a crank up windshield.
keiser31
You can just see the bracket on this '27 cabriolet.... Edited August 29, 2022 by keiser31 (see edit history)

Vince76
Keiser31, that is the bracket the arm slides on. My arm does appear to be from a 1927 Cabriolet as seen here. Thank you both for the help. Vincent
TheMoneyPit
Am I missing something here??? Both pictures of cars appear to be “Sports Coupes” not Cabriolets.
Vince76
I was under the impression a Sport Coupe and a Cabriolet are one in the same. Now that brings up other questions. Did they use the same swing arm? What are the windshield dimensions of either car? Ultimately that is what I'm trying to ID. Vince76
That is a pretty sharp car. Thank you for the measurements. It's not a match. Mine measures 41 3/4" wide at the top, 40 5/8" wide at the bottom, 15 1/4" tall at the ends, and 14" tall in the center. The search goes on. Vincent A Sport Coupe typically does not have a convertible top, but a rigid top. A Cabriolet has a convertible top and roll up windows, as opposed to a Roadster that has a convertible top and no windows, but side curtains.
