Steve_Mack_CT
This Pontiac looks pretty good for an older restoration, seller lists a ton of recent work and seems to know the "right" vendors. https://newhaven.craigslist.org/cto/d/new-haven-1950-pontiac-chieftain/7514949724.html Car is in New Haven, CT 203.376.5136 Edited August 8, 2022 by Steve_Mack_CT Added pics (see edit history)
John Bloom
Lots to like about this car. Some of the same styling cues as Cadillac had in these years, straight eight. A sale in the thirties seems like there would be a happy buyer out there. great car.
bigbry13
This is actually my car which I sold last week. thanks for reminding me to take the listing down LOL. i will miss it a lot. it was an older frame off resto and ive basically done everything I needed to do to make the car a reliable driver after sitting unused for several years. you dont see a whole lot of 3 speed pontiac convertibles. was my first 3 on the tree but probably not my last.

TerryB
Yes, great looking car. Not many ragtops seen in the northeast. My first car was a 1951 Chieftan with straight eight and auto trans.

Steve_Mack_CT
9 minutes ago, B Jake Moran said: SOLD Yep, if you read up in the thread Jake the seller actually commented. Admittedly I have been "holding out" this one, we have been looking for an open prewar car but this car had so much appeal it went on the list in case our recent buy didn't work out. Then I felt it had to be shared here. Didn't reach out because I generally won't call on a car unless I am ready to see it, but assumed it was available. Seller spotted it and it reminded him to take the ad down. Not at all surprised it sold pretty quickly. Someone will get a nice sunburned forehead in the next few weeks!! 👍😁
