Does anyone know, if anyone can attend the Buick national next July in Spokane Washington .

Do you have to be a member or not.

Thanks

Yes you have to be a member of the BCA to attend. If you were just a spectator, they may let you on.

Bcdave, you don't have to be a member to attend as a car-show-day spectator.  You can walk around the cars free of charge.  In order to be a participant in the meet, you'd have to register as either a non-BCA member or become a BCA member.

Bcdave,  I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you are not a BCA member.

At a BCA event, spectators are allowed to walk around, view cars and the outdoor part of the swap meet. There are also indoor swap spaces.

There is always a hospitality room at the host hotel but you have to be registered for the show and have your lanyard ID showing to gain access to the room.

I think it adds to the difficulty of attracting new members by closing access for the main part of a meet to members only.

I'm already planning to make the trip to Spokane, WA. It's only 1437 miles.

I'll make a courteous correction:  As others noted,

a spectator does NOT have to be a member to walk

around, look at the cars, and chat with knowledgeable owners.

In fact, they are surely happy to have the public learn

more about their passions!  Maybe you'll enjoy the cars

enough even to join the Buick club.

My introduction to the BCA as a college student was to

attend a national meet;  I later joined.  No club looking to

future growth would keep away interested prospective members!
