RUDDY
Hi, I need the parameters for the oil filter spring on the oil valve bypass on the 1955 Buick 264 engine, as it does not appear to be original at this time. I would be interested in the exact length and material thickness ( diameter of the coil material ) of the spring shown in the picture. I hope you can help me. Mudbone
Not sure if this will help. I did this video on the filter housing.
RUDDY
Thanks Mudbone a fast reply. I watched the video, that's exactly what we're doing. The problem is that the spring is not sized correctly. That's why I asked for the exact dimensions, to get the right one. Where can I look up the correct parameters? Where can I get the original one? From the oil pump kit section, spring # 1333351 also used # 1290361 earlier part # : (13/32" X 2 23/32" - 25 1/2 coils) maybe will work? valve, oil pressure # 1247328 , BUT part # : 1293647 ? (35/64" O.D. X 2") maybe will work? Bob Edited July 27, 2022 by NailheadBob Add photo (see edit history)
