Seller's Description:

1954 Pontiac Chieftain Deluxe 4-door Sedan

  • condition: excellent
  • transmission: automatic
  • odometer: 26,700
  • paint color: green

All original 54 Chieftain Deluxe Four Door
26K original miles. When I bought the car three years ago it had the original tires on it. She sat for a long time. All of the glass is pristine and windows roll up and down with ease. No oil leaks or smoke from the very strong straight 8.

  • Work done within the last 200 miles: reconditioned carb, new Coker tires, transmission service, tune up, oil change, shocks, water pump, u-joint, engine painted.

All running gear (brakes, power steering unit, power brakes) checked and in beautiful original condition. With just a little minor TLC she will run on for the next 68 years!

Nice car!

Why are all these 1950s cars with low miles always four doors?

Original owner was an old maid schoolteacher, librarian, pastor or accountant who purchased based on quality and value metrics, used their cars sparingly to make them last as long as possible.   Four door sedans were the most accommodating of all body styles for all occasions, those two door hardtops and convertibles just frivolous and profligate!

Price is way too high.  It’s still nice but this forum posts so many nice 50s 4 doors for $8,000 to $10,000 less.

Agree, compare to the green Packard on LI for $10k less from last week.  Still other than that a cool car.
