1965 Chrysler Imperial Crown convertible. One of only 633 sold in 1965. I am told by a noted Imperial collector that this is the only black convertible with red leather. Tuxedo black exterior over all-original red leather interior
413Ci 340hp V8 Engine. Options include Power Steering & Power Brakes. Dual Power Seats. Six power windows including vents. Dual chrome mirrors w/ foot-operated driver remote. AM radio. Hidden compartments under door panel armrests.
Much work completed in last 4 years including a total rebuild of the front suspension, brakes, and new valve seals totaling more than $12,000. Transmission totally rebuilt in 2020 at $2500. Four new tires in 2018 with less than 1000 miles on them
Very straight body w/ excellent black paint. Excellent original chrome bumpers. Newer black power top. Gorgeous original red leather with lovely patina. Red convertible tonneau cover and two side parade boots. All-original Claro walnut trim in lovely condition. Original manual and lots of sales ephemera including sales brochure and paint/interior brochure. Tidy under hood engine compartment. Rust-free undercarriage.

Much preferred by me over the lighter shades. 65-66 Imperials look best in dark hues in my opinion.  The details aren’t washed out to blend with light yellows etc.  

 

I love the 65-66 Cadillacs too.  Lincoln would be my #3 choice.  
 

The issue with Cadillacs is the 429 was “meh” for reliability and quality.  The Lincoln has the complicated power top.  The Imperial would be my #1 choice.  413/440 very nice power plant.
