It has the original engine and drivetrain with some improvements for driving enjoyment ie: alternator instead of generator, electric wipers instead of vacuum, manual choke, tachometer. Look at the pictures and better yet come and see it in person. Edited February 9 by 6T-FinSeeker update status (see edit history)

TexRiv_63
That looks like a really nice car, always liked the 56 a bit better than the 57. May be worth the asking price but only if the model car is included! 1
1957Birdman
At least the real one does not have a continental kit hanging on the back. The other good thing is it is a 12 volt car. Lew Bachman 1957 Thunderbird
B Jake Moran
Looks nice. But the comment about “50s cars costing $60,000 to $80,000” seems intended to justify his $20,000 asking price. Needs a good look over, then maybe a $14,000 car.

Carburetor rebuilt and engine tuned. The tires are brand new Coker radials and my mechanic has gone thru it to assure driving pleasure. Look at the pictures and better yet come and see it in person. Fly in and drive it home. Now the not so good. There is a small crack in the passenger window and the driver door lock does not work. The speedometer does not work but a new one is mounted under the dash. There is no air-conditioner as those were rare back then. I have been honest in my description. kingrudy
I really like this car. Not perfect (looks like some overspray on the door insulation) but overall a nice looking car. I am puzzled by the increase of $350 in price when the car did not sell on the first round. IMO it would make sense if the seller stated that he had the car professionally detailed and the increase in price reflects that, or he raised the price so there was room to negotiate with "tire kickers". GLWTS, this is a car that I would drive a lot. Edited August 21, 2023 by kingrudy (see edit history)

Maybe reflects the cost of advertising it in the local papers.

58L-Y8
"Later that day, I met friends at the lovely Beverly Hills Hotel. For even after nine hours of driving I felt refreshed, relaxed and proud. Proud, because at this hotel where you see the finest automobiles, my Lincoln drew the quiet admiration it so richly deserves!" Steve, if there is a video link you can post, please do so. We would all be interested. I've seen similar things on Youtube.
