Rick Blood
Looking to keep the original 3 speed with electric overdrive and upgrade to a more modern 6 cylinder, perhaps a 4.0 liter out of a jeep. looking to see if there is an adapter plate available. Professor
What issues are you seeing with the original engine? Joe
Rusty_OToole
I was wondering about that myself. Since the original Ambassador engine was a 4 liter, overhead valve six with seven main bearings and a reputation as one of the best most reliable engines in the industry I don't know what there is to gain, it would be cheaper to rebuild the original engine unless the rod is sticking thru the block.
