Leif in Calif
This one is actually a "business coupe" which makes is both more valuable and less usable. Funny how that works. Not crazy about the "patina' but it looks like a good car. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/d/mountain-view-1940-chevy-master-85/7497965477.html Too much to listYou won’t ever find such an honest carThis car has never had rustVery original car with all the dings and dents that come along with being loved and driven for over 80 yearsMostly original paint (Alameda green) with just the right amount of patinaAll soft parts have been replaced (seals, grommets, weatherstripping, bushings, entire interior) no squeaks or rattlesStarts easy even with original 6v systemExtremely reliable as I will often commute to work from Mountain View to alameda with itThis is a bare bones car as everything was an option for these master 85 modelsSome things were added to make the driving experience better: carpet kit and fully refurbished heater from a deluxe model, horn on the column, modern aftermarket temp gauge which never gets above 190This car needs nothing and would prefer if the next caretaker would keep honoring how awesome this car is in its current formI’ve got a lot more information about this car if you want to know anything more specificJohn email: 88afa557cb8a397d8a277d82c0f80b6c@sale.craigslist.org
Jim Skelly
Why isn't there a good photo of either the dash (blurry) or front seat? If the headliner and door panel are any indication, the interior is nice. I wouldn't mind owning it. Pont 46
Is it me, being a grumpy old man, but 23k seems high priced. It is a very nice car, and very good condition. great interior. In the ad it seems like you have to pay extra for the dings and dents--also please dont get me going with the right amount of " patina" that certainly adds another 5-10k to price. As the ad states "You won’t ever find such an honest car", I often guestion my current car, about where is been?, and who's in been with? under a hot lamp, like they did in the old dectective movies. Well I going back to watching Mr. Ed, where i can get a straight answer, and some good advice. 1
