I've been absent here, sparing y'all my crappy( but entertaining to me) nosense, and checking in to remind us CT. and close state, locales about this event on the da 12th.

My morning text today from Alex D., hoping see me there,"I'm always welcome " gave me a push,to push the event...

A free event for car parts venders and spectators and car show-ers,and a chance to wander the high end show room, and if lucky, time and personel available, a glimps at the restoration facility..

All  Collector cars are more then welcome to display (free).

This not a highly publisized ,huge event to the public..it is for ones in the know ,in the realm of vintage motor cars.

My only (-)comment is,if you want to really hang out, pack your own snacks ,food and drink to carry you through the day...The food vender in that past is  a bit limited.

Porta-potties on sight...

I hope to to meet some forum posters to either piss off or bond with.I'm flexable.

 Till the 12th ,at Dragone's Motor Cars,Orange,Connecticut.

I was actually planning to post an "iron range roll call" after dinner Fliv, but you have it covered.  We are planning to be there barring a rainy Sunday- early early till about  noonish.

Hey Steve..A roll call of possibles is great...do it like 24hrs before.

During the event a spot can be posted at couple times to meet  like 9 or 10 and noonish.. to connect.

I'll wear my best dress and straw hat or greasy jeans and ball cap to be easy to find...

I have yet to decide to bring my banjos..in fear of being denied entry....It's happens.

Want to be sure it is SUNDAY, for some reason I thought it was Saturday last year.

It was Saturday last year. But it looks like it’s on Sunday this year, the email says June 12.

I hope some of you who attend the"Iron Range" tomorrow that the Dragone's have arranged to host will remember that the "Iron Range" name was started by Henry Austin Clark Jr. for a "by invitation event" he used to host in the Spring and Fall at his automobile museum in Southampton, NY . I know because I was asked by Austin to help contact people on a list he created to let them know it would be taking place ( often only the evening before it happened!)  Great the Dragone's are using the name but just wanted to give credit for where it originated many decades ago. I have a "thing" about giving credit where credit is due........................

OK, hummmmm, does he have a t shirt that says that on in in large bold letters and colors? Is it a new nick name or an old one. I will comment no further.

Alex fired this old timer up and gave a guy a ride round the lot for a few laps

Farted,barked,snorted ,sparked and popped.

It was not for idling around.

Leak lots of black tar oil on the showroom floor after...but who cares.

I could be rich and not a snob, if that helps! Looks like a fun place to spend the afternoon. Rainy and half miserable here on the Ches. bay.
