Hemi Joel
On my 1929 Cord, it has Woodlites for the headlights, the cowl lights, a single tail light / brake light on the left, and a single backup light on the right. I would like to attempt to mount an additional red bulb in the backup light so that I have dual stoplights. All for the cause of safety.I'm trying to figure out how to get this little woodlite open. There is no external screw except for the three mounting screws. There is a little rectangular opening in the bottom with what looks like a tab in there and a piece of wire across the tab. I've tried poking and prying in there with a small screwdriver while I try to lift the top off of it but that didn't get me anywhere. I don't want to try too hard possibly doing it the wrong way and wreck it. Does anybody know how to get these things open ? Thanks, Joel
Hemi Joel
Okay, cancel my request. I figured it out. I pushed that little wire in that rectangular hole further towards the lens side of the light and it released the cover.
Gunsmoke
Aaaw the agony of having a '29 Cord!! Glad you figured it out before you broke something nearly irreplaceable!
