I wish they would have answered that. A trivalent chrome finish using a sulfate process is supposed to be a pretty close match to the old type hexavalent chrome. I don't have vehicles that would have nice chrome but hopefully this new process will work well for the environment and for some eye-catching brightwork. Bhigdog Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 No expert here but my understanding is you shouldn't mix hex and tri because the difference will be apparent. Tri reportedly has a bluish cast..........Bob
