rdsieber
I was reading a discussion forum from 2019 on the Hudson Super Six Speedsters in the Buy/Sell section, and I was wondering if any of these folks or someone else reading this would have some factory brochure images or model specs to flesh out what these cars were? I'm trying to figure out what made them different than the standard 4-passenger touring model, since it appears that they both weighed about the same (as listed in Kimes' Standard Catalog entry on pp. 730-2)? Would appreciate any help given, =rdsieber
StillOutThere
The "speedster" body was lower belt line than the "standard" touring which had a higher belt. If there were other differences, I'm not familiar with them. I'd like to think they had a higher speed axle gear set but don't know that for a fact. paulrhd29nz
On the 7p the cowl is shorter. The notch in the belt line at the door isn’t there and the front door is more forward than the 4p. The 7p has a much longer rear tub that hangs out almost to the rear of the frame horns. Wheel base is the same on both models. You’ll rarely ever see a trunk on a 7p for lack of room to mount. zeke01
I have not seen a reference that differentiates between a four passenger touring and a Speedster. As far as I know, they are one and the same. Zeke.
