Ed Davidson
When I got this car to restore, the foot rest mounted to a couple of boards was lying loose in the back. It looks like it was mounted permanently in the floor, since there is no accompanying hardware for folding. I understand these were pretty common in cars of this period, but there are no clues to how or where it mounted exactly, like how far forward from the seat. I'd appreciate any help with this. TheMoneyPit
Looks like it has hinges at the one end, they might be frozen and need to be freed. The foot rest should be placed so if lands very close to the front of the seat when folded up so it is out of the way to get into the car, and folds forward to be used as a footrest. Getting it loose and playing with the location before mounting it to the floor will help you find it’s placement.
