Back in the day they were ugly, now they are quirky cool (and still visually strange).

I always preferred the gremlin. And I will still bite if a Randell gremlin falls in my lap.

 

However, wife likes the pacer.

I like the Gremlin better too, but the Pacer is more of a fun drive. Pacers are one of those cars that are hated on by people who have never driven one. This one has the AMC engine and a 3 speed overdrive(!). As Pacers go, this is a winner. You are unlikely to see another equipped this way.

My sister had a ‘77 Nova with three on the tree. My mom bought it from an elderly woman. Four door, zero options but low miles. Of course the shift linkage would jam up at the most inopportune times. Man, my sister HATED that car.
