Crusty Trucker Posted April 18, 2022 Share Posted April 18, 2022 I believe those framed panels on the windshield were aftermarket devices which were purported to reduce or eliminate frost inside or (outstde?) and promote better visibility and therefore safety. I remember seeing them as a kid in the '50's and '60's on front, back and side windows.
