FS: Buick Fireball 8. I'm not sure what year it is, but they were produced from 1931 to 1953

Someone will probably be delighted you found this Buick engine.  One of the forums is for General Motors Cars and Parts Buy/Sell and there is a Buick - Buy/Sell subtopic that would be appropriate.  If you don't know exact application, I would title the posting Unknown year Buick Straight 8 engine and trans for sale, select the For Sale setting in the drop down, write a description with contact info and you can drag or browse jpeg pictures to post.

From the link

Used – good

$300 FIRM. Not sure what year this is but they were produced from 1931-1953. It turns and is all here. You must move it.

Birmingham, AL

Location is approximate

From the sellers other thread

Hello, I bought an old auto parts store last year and was finally successful at selling the inventory. However, there is still a Buick Fireball straight 8 motor and transmission here.

I don't know much about it other than they were produced from 1931 to 1953.  It appears to be all here and it does turn.  I really need to move it.  Here are some photos.

Feel free to call me.  This is located in Birmingham, Alabama.  205-616-1251  axelbarron@yahoo.com

Has the 1939 1 year only transmission (that cable)

Manifold is stepped at no 8 cylinder, so engine manifold is 1939 or later

Exhaust manifold may be cracked at number 2

Dip stick between coil & distributor = 1939 or earlier. 1940 the dip stick moved towards the bell housing

Would need serial number to confirm

(this may have been on the forum before)
