1937 studebaker hearse

Hearses were usually custom built by a separate company different from the chassis company.  Look for a makers tag on the body to identify the company that built the hearse.  Also there is a group called the Professional Car Society that includes members who collect and restore ambulances and hearses.  Good luck!

The body was most likely built by Superior.   They did a lot of Studebakers and even had an arrangement to sell (offer?) them through Studebaker dealers.

The other professional car builders worked only through their own dealers and distributors. But the customer base for professional cars was also small and specialized.
