handmedownreatta
i hooked one to the heater hose that it said to use.it seemed to me the water hose water was coming straight back out the radiator clear and not flushing anything.has anyone successfully used this on a reatta?i need to replace the hose because its leaking at the t and wonder if i should put it back in? handmedownreatta
I changed both hoses.the new ones slipped right on to the heater core but it was VERY hard to get the clamps turned in the right direction.
rogold99
You might try carefully pinching the heater hose on one side of the flush fitting to get the water flowing the way you want it to go. Then pinch the other side and try it again. It also may help to remove the thermostat and let it flush out the top of the engine (without the engine running) ,or reinstall just the thermostat housing to redirect the flow back to the radiator (engine running). dship
I've never used this flush kit on a Reatta, but on my other cars thru the years I always pulled the thermostat out of their housing before starting a flush.
padgett
Is usually best to back flush things, more likely to dislodge debris. I'd replace the thermostat with a 180F Stant Superstat. 3800s like them.
