Guest
I recently read on a website that a 1947 Packard Super Clipper auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson was not a "full Classic". I have been confused also by the writeup in a couple of publications that imply that the Custom Super Clipper (2106, 2126) is the only '47 model Packard that is a Classic. On the CCCA website the 2103 Super Clipper is listed as a Classic so I am assuming this is correct. Am I right? It's a moot point really as I love my Super Clipper even if it isn't a Clssic by definition of CCCA.
Guest
Oh no!!! Not the dreaded "C"word again! Where's P H to set us straight?
Mark Huston
The official CCCA web site has a current, and correct, full list of approved Classics. The list includes 1946 - 1947 Packard Models 2103, 2106 and 2126. Your car is included in this list, than it is an approved Full Classic, despite what anyone else might say. Mike Dube
As you have heard it is a CCCA Classic. I had a '41 Clipper a few years ago. 1st year for this body, and had the same wheelbase as your car, but with the "120" eight's engine. It was a great road car, and I miss it. I have a '32 Auburn 8-100A now, which also goes down the road well considering the year.Mike
