DFeeney
Hello, I am building a Speedster and was told "Back in the Day" Franklin steering boxes were used due to their long sector shaft length. I think mid twenty's boxes were used. I am looking for a steering box somewhere around 10" from the Pitman arm to the center of the steering shaft. If you have any thing laying around I would be interested, Thanks in advance, Think Spring/Hershey Don in central Ohio 740-816-4284
John_Mereness
Probably more homework needed here. Thinking they are confusing with a Franklin Quick Change Differential (which is not from a Franklin car) or some other confusion, but most of the Franklin steering boxes are gememer and not what you would purposely want to bargain into if not restoring a Franklin Automobile. The Ross boxes may be fine, but are certainly rare.
f147pu
Not sure about Series 12, but S-11 and earlier were Franklin designed and built and this box is what is desired.
