Scruffy, but clean, seems cobbled together...
plymouthcranbrook
I might take a chance on it even with the rust for a somewhat lower price. Maybe $2000?

Same with the lower portions of the body. Maybe it’s just the pics but I would be wary, even at half the price.
63RedBrier
The car was probably parked close to the ocean for a long time to get rust out up that high...
supercub
Saltwater runoff from wet surfboards no doubt.
John_S_in_Penna
One of our members had or has a '62 Corvair wagon, beautifully restored. He said he painted it the light blue because he liked the color; I inferred that light blue wasn't correct for that year. It looks a lot like the one for sale. 1

JamesR
I understand the OP doesn't know how to post pics, but once again when posting a link to an ad it's a good idea to post at least one pic in case the ad is taken down.

Ernie Kovacs was a well-known actor, comedian, and TV personality of the 50-early 60s, I vaguely remember him. In keeping with the spirit of these AACA Forums, here's a picture. Gearheadengineer
That ‘54-‘55 Met was already a bit tired when that pic was taken. 😀
