studeboy
I know that the light sixes into the early 20's did not come with brake lights just a tail light for the night. There were period after market brake lights that could be adapted. A mechanical switch attached to the brake linkage to actuate.

studeboy
From an examination of the parts books it appears that Studebaker first supplied stoplights in 1922 for the big and special six but not the light six.
