daniel boeve
Driven 777 mls ?? Since new ? Since restoration ? Its in anyway a very good looking car .Is this model year 1948?? Rather 1949 if you ask me .
Grimy
The straight 8 and the divided rear window make this car a 1948. 1949 98 had an OHV V8 and a one-piece rear window, but otherwise was virtually identical.
Hudsy Wudsy
Three or four years ago I drew attention to one of these. It's not all that significant looking, but this '48 Olds 98 was the only GM car that year to share it's body with the new '48 Cadillac. The Cadillac was a milestone in that it introduced us all to tailfins. This poor Olds looks somewhat plain without tailfins and, while it's grille is similar to other post war Olds, it's cut down in height so much that it looks almost plain. For some reason Buick wouldn't get this body for another year --'49.
Bleach
The '48 Cadillac also had a flattie like the '48 Olds. Then in '49 they both had OHV V8's.
deac
Looks nice. I would go look at it if the price was right. I think 25K for a 4 door plain looking sedan is too aggressive. 19K might be a fair price!. Also I question the location because Brentwood is an upper-crusted area and you most likely would not see an open dirt yard with junk scattered around - never say never but not likely. Bleach
It's not the Brentwood near West Los Angeles but the other Brentwood that's west of Sockton, CA. The photos make sense then.
