Dodge never made an 8 cyl car in 34. I would expect a 34 Dodge passenger car rear end would be the same as the Plymouth

You are correct. . . There was an 8 cylinder Dodge in 1933 and I was thinking @jlmenz might also be considering a 1933 Dodge axle for the 1933 Plymouth. The 1933 Dodge Eight (engineering code DO) was the last 8 cylinder dodge until the 1950s.
