Gearheadengineer
Now here’s something unusual. More pics in the ad. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/259887436057447/?ref=search&referral_code=marketplace_search&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3Ae6d2523e-f5fd-41bd-a40b-30f8013c4af2 I have a 1949 GMC semi truck with a 1951 Double Decker trailer for sale. Very rarely do these come up for sale. The truck has a 12V 5.9 Cummins with an Eaton 6 speed trans behind it. The motor has 125K on it, and I’m not sure of the trans, but it felt great to drive it around. It pulled the trailer with a 1964 Cadillac limo, and a 1963 Cadillac 4 door on the upper deck….no sweat. The motor mounts on the truck gave up (poor design) and the motor started to fall forward. As it did, it broke the center support bearing on the driveshaft, and spit the shaft out. That will need to be repaired to drive it again. The truck is very solid despite the ugliest paint scheme on the planet. I have clear title on the truck but no title on the trailer. The trailer is structurally solid, but there are some side panel showing some rot. The trailer was originally used to move new Kaisers Frazier from the manufacture to the dealer in Illinois. It still has the slogan on the side!

gofasttoday
All the weight on the truck very little on the trailer. Differently a wide turn.

Gearheadengineer
Perfect gift for the Kaiser Frazier collector in your life. I am amazed that it lasted this long. I hope someone saves it, but realistically that’s a stretch.
ericmac
It would be a recipe for instant divorce but what a way to go. I would never get it restored in my lifetime but I hope someone buys it and restorers it to the nines.
