Ariejan NL
It's a Métallurgique from just before or just after the Great War. The make was fairly popular in the UK, but I have no information about Australia and New Zealand.

This car had previously been identified as an Austro-Daimler but this identification never sat well with me. I’m not sure how popular Metallurgique cars were in Australia but I do know there were a few here. The gentleman driving the car was Dr William Studdy he traveled the world extensively just before and during the early stages of WW1. He had a love of cars but apparently was a terrible driver but owned many different cars during his life. Thanks again for the identification.
