Perhaps this was the "official" and only authorized lubricant available? Pretty neat Shell item. It pays to read the label carefully! Nice item. I also saw one in an earlier auction that indicated the can was 1948 vintage. Selling prices for the recent ones on eBay have ranged from $45 to $128, with all being in about the same condition (good to very good shape). Here's one that's on eBay right now, in case someone here on the forum is looking for a Christmas gift (to himself!).
