Thanks Sal,

I don't understand what's going on with front page.

When I preview the page in Front Page the pictures expand just fine.

But, I can't get them to expand once with the web browser (IE 6.0).

Maybe Peter can offer some insights!

Just got home guys. These young guys with their fancy laptops beat me to the punch. Waiting for my pictures to develop to put on here. Howard, We let Ronbarn wear the KK hat this year! Missed you by the way, nothing bad said about you this time. I kept notes. Speaking of KK's. I was in the trade center area when someone showed up with a box Krispy Kremes. Pete Heizmann had sent them before he even arrived the next day, Thanks Pedro! Anyway, I told the guy he had the wrong destination, they were supposed to go to Cheyenne, Wy. Missed you Howard. I had a great time, met great people and was even awarded a prize. Pete Heizmann had lunch with me at St. George's Saturday and I brought him up to speed on the Friday luncheon. As a matter of fact that cell phone you see everybody using in the pictures for our "60 minute" meal belonged to me. Thanks for that phonecall to me, Pedro. You owe me big!!!!!! Stand by guys. I'll add more tonight. Had a lot of fun. Wayne

The Philly Cheese Steaks and beer were flowing. We all seemed to enjoy the get together. Bob Stein gave two very good seminars, the website one was very good and RuthVal and I got in a few plugs for the DF. The other one on the internet in the hobby was heavy on that thing called ebay.

Thanks Pedro, Sorry about that, CCAR/Chuck. We never really had time to speak to each other. I want to get an announcement banner put up next year for both the DFer's and Editors to announce a meeting place. The registration guys said I could put it right behind their desk at eye level. I still have the signed roster, if anyone needs a copy. Mr. Griffin surprised me with his former job in the space administration. We had an interesting conversation. Thank you, Art. Wayne Burgess

Hey you all, Sally and I made it home safe. Thanks for posting the great photos. A few of the DFers had conflicts with the seminar and meetings schedules, but the ones that made it to St. Georges had a fine time. Sure wish HVS, PeterG, Dan (Big Bird), PeterH, Al Terek, RickH and some of the rest of you could have made it there. We did not solve any of the world's problems but we hoisted one for you all. There are many hobbies within our hobby and I think of the DFers as a prime example. Thanks to all of you.

And a congrats to EarlB, a DFer and our 2003 Executive VP.

We pulled into our driveway this morning (Monday) at 10:45 a.m. We could have driven all the way through, but called it quits at Elkhart, Indiana yesterday evening. Better to face Chicago traffic with a rested brake foot.

We're glad to have the time we had with everyone, but at usual, the time was too short. By the way, the redhead's name is Scott. He's a computer junky, so I suspect he'll have his own DF name before too long. If there were a Junior DF, he'd already be on. (Has this possibility come up or would it be too risky?)

I'll have pictures up on our website later this week.

Its always great to see old friends and make new ones at Philly. My schedule precluded joining the DFers for lunch but the chance to visit with many of you was very welcome. There is so much great info to share, I just wish everybody could make it! Despite the snow it was a big success and the seminars I was able to attend were very well done and informative. Great to visit with everyone in the evenings at the hospitality suites - during the day it's kinda like Hershey with everyone scurring around headed somewhere. spring is just around the corner!

Yeh Terry, Hospitality Suite!!! It's all your fault for letting me get that third "screwdriver". Bruce Wheeler and I closed that place down and I wobbled along with a "Director Type", not Earl,(Judy doesn't let him drink) to the elevator. I hardly remember what remark I made, but I remember the wife of the gentleman bursting out in laughter. Gosh Terry, couldn't you have cut me off before making a fool of myself. I'll never get to be a director living my life like this. Wayne

Guest SalG (Sal Grenci)

The friend with the glasses in the picture with me is my cousin Sal Grenci, (that's right, same name, we are named after my grandfather. He has two Model A's, a 1929 Tudor and a 1931 wide bed pickup.) He is not on the DF much, but shows up at the Rick Hoover parties each year and he enjoyed the pitcher of beer on the table.

Di and I enjoyed the Annual Meeting as we always do. Our new region president and First lady followed us up this year. Since Di had to work Thursday night, we couldn't leave until Friday morning at 6:00am in the midst of the big snow storm. (We got 10" of snow here at the house). Drove 95 miles on the Interstate and didn't see one plowed lane until we entered Philadelphia. But that didn't stop us, it only took about 45 minutes longer and we still made it before 8:00am.

Gee Wayne, Its prob a good thing that we passed up the last "one for the road" offer in the hospitality suite. You might have ended up in the wrong room or something. Congratulations on your ME award!

(No..I havent forgotten your copy of the newsletter.. its on the way soon)

Enjoyed the DFer lunch as always, although there were many familiar faces missing.

Looking forward to next year's trek to Philly.

Guest Art Griffin

Wayne, sorry I'm so slow thanking you for posting that picture. Also, thanks for the kind words about our conversation.......I enjoyed meeting you in person, and I look forward to future opportunities.

Hope you're not getting any of that snow moving through the area.

Good to hear from you Art. You don't want to know about the snow. It's not bad here,6-8 inches, but it looks like at least 1 foot and climbing in Winchester, Va. running East through PA. I've got one poor soul heading for Erie, Pa. tonight. He's not making very good time. By the way, I've got other pictures of you and the DFers to post later in the week on the Picture Gallery. Stay tuned. Wayne
