32buick67
I found this sheet metal form in a box of misc parts for my 1932-67 Buick. Anyone have any guesses if it belongs to my car? Thanks
Przemek M
Engine mud pan on the left, exhaust side. It consists of two parts. You found the front one. Regards Przemek M.

Splane
I believe what you have is a heat shield that goes above the carburetor, the front round part attaches to the bottom of the exhaust manifold where it connects to the exhaust pipe the other end connects to the heat riser this helps to protect the carburetor from heat coming off of the exhaust manifold and helps prevent vapor lock in the carburator
Robert Engle
They did have heat shields but the piece shown is an engine lower side pan. see photo. The pans were installed to control engine temperatures and have hot air exit through the hood doors. Both piece the heat shield and side pans are hard parts to find, Mechanics didn't like the extra work to remove and reinstall these pans and they often got trashed.
