Poor old girl really needs some love.

Looks like a solid project to work with, priced low enough and seller says it runs.

Would certainly have benefited from a bit of cleaning before listing for sale.

You might be tempted to clean it up and hit it with a cheap paint job(maybe even two-tone pink), but then you see the rusted out bottom of the trunk lid and have to assume that's just the beginning of the problems.

The car sat in the yard ten years too long.

Cleaning the car would have removed the perceived value of dirt and grime, also know as "patina."   There was a time when only the farmers saw money in dirt.

It could work to the buyer's advantage, he could say "I cant give you any more than $3,000 for this rat's nest".

This car isn't a wreck, hasn't been haphazardly disassembled with parts thrown in the interior, and it looks to be complete with all the trim intact and in place. The interior is intact with the original upholstery in place. Even the original air cleaner is still in place. Yes it's going to need some work, but it looks like a good project at the right price. This is a car that should be saved, even if it's never restored, just fixed up.
