37PackardMan
Surely there is someone out there is searching for this piece of trim. Unfortunately, I don't know what it belongs to. It is not flat...there is a slight curvature. Any help would be appreciated... Thanks for looking
The 55er
Not much to go on but it's possible this is a lower rear quarter moulding for 1955 Olds 88 & Super 88 2-door hardtop models. It mounts on the side of the car and the rearward end of it almost touches the backup light.
37PackardMan
Thanks for the prompt response. I'll post the pics on the Olds page and hope to get a positive response.
The 55er
II think I can confirm, I ran out to my shop and measured. The one on my 1955 Olds is exactly 27" long. The edge that touches the car is completely flat for the entire length. The picture showing the end of your moulding was a little confusing. Edited November 12, 2021 by The 55er rewording. 37PackardMan
The peak runs all the way down the trim and both sides of the peak are concave.
The 55er
Then it should be the same as the one on my car. The ones on the 4-doors were of the same design but shorter in length.
