George, I'm going to Iowa City to pick up my daughter in two weeks, and will be happy to stop in Des Moines on the way, but that may not be a quick enough time frame for you. Also not sure I could provide the kind of assessment you want, but I can at least get some video of pertinent things.

Thanks to all who offered assistance. I decided to pass on the van. It’s a 2000 Dodge 1500. I thought the ad read a 5.9 engine, but it’s a 3.9 six cylinder, a gutless wonder.
