International Rescue
I have acquired a very tidy IH S1700 V8 Diesel 550CI Wrecker, it has spent most of its life at Alconbury Air Base here in the UK for the USAF probably for the 501 Combat Support Wing. Its done only 29,000 miles and never been road registered, I reckon its a keeper. I have plans to remove the Mo-Mar Retriever body and make a tractor unit to pull my old Big Country goose neck horse trailer (camper/toy hauler). I am a hotrodder and that rig would be an incredibly rare sight here in the UK. Although I already have several left hookers I would prefer the rig to be a right hand drive because of its size, I know some of the Navistar's were built for export I just wondered if a 1981 S1700 is a fairly straight forward job. Thanks chaps in advance and thank you any Vets out there for looking after your vehicles so well in rainy England.
