I have a re-cored radiator from a 48 Chrysler Windsor that I was going to restore and realize that I never will.  I have had it since 1978 and the radiator re-cored in 1982 and it has never been used since then. Thanks,  Tom Hoot   tomhoot@comcast.net

ARe 46-48 Chrysler and DeSoto radiators honeycomb or tube and fin?  Can you clean gunk out of a tube and fin radiator by pushing a rod through the tubes?  I think the radiator on my 48 DeSoto is honeycomb where is looks like a diamond pattern.

I am pretty sure by the 40's the radiators were all tube and fin. I would not be poking anything sharp in the fins. I have taken a fine screwdriver and straightened out flattened fins, but not pushing into the radiator.
