JamesR
Great vehicle, and lots of illuminating pictures. Maybe not a perfect car...but that means you can actually go to the local nursery and buy some potted plants and drive them home in your nice '53 DeSoto wagon on a sunny Saturday afternoon, and how cool would that be? I don't judge them for putting an aluminum radiator in the car, as I'll be doing that in my old Ford in the next couple of days, too. Just make sure that you use a zinc anode in the radiator tank when you do that.
auburnseeker
Shame about the damage. That messed up a bunch of panels.
Hudsy Wudsy
That "Boo-Boo" dent must have paid out awfully well for this to be offered with a "Salvage" title. The moral of the story for all of us is even if your brake lights work well -- they will never work as well, or be as bright as what people are used to regularly seeing these days! Check your brake lights often!

It's hard to tell from the ad but the salvage may have come from a previous accident. Mine has a salvaged title and the only body piece I needed to replace was the rear fender. I did need to rebuild the differential but am unable to determine if that happened at the same time. Check your brake lights often! The car is beautifully styled, but the tail lights are very small. It wouldn't be original, but a third tail light could probably be mounted behind the back window gate in a relatively non-intrusive way.
Brooklyn Beer
I think a lot of the rear end accidents with these cars are not so much the small tail lights but the small minded idiots on the roads these days who think they have to be everywhere 10 minutes ago. 30-45 MPH speed limits mean nothing. Had my 31 Franklin out today on back roads and the people that closed up behind me from at easily 60-65 MPH (on a 35 mph road) had me pulling upholstery out of my ass from the every 5 minute pucker situation looking out the rear view mirror. Going back to my pre 8am runs for a while. 3
