Guest
Looks like a nice car at a fair price. https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/d/phelan-chrysler-sedan/7388589840.html 1947 Chrysler Four Door Sedan.Original straight eight engine with original fluid drive transmission. Runs well.Body and frame is straight and is in good shape. Body color is black. Interior was professionally restored about 12 years ago is very nice with the period optional Chrysler tartan plaid accents. Car has been diligently kept to as near original state as possible with 6 volt positive ground electrics, etc. It was the treasure of an elderly US Marine and well taken care of.This Chrysler is totally complete, and is the looks exactly like 1947. Rare to see.Car could use new door window rubbers and felts and has two flat glass door windows that are cracked but intact. These parts are readily available from Andy Bernbaum Classic Mopar Auto Parts in Massachusetts. They have an extensive catalog of correct parts for 1930 to 1971 Mopars.Recent (Sept. 2020) oil change and filter, new thermostat, coolant flush and replaced, all fittings greased, brakes adjusted, fluids checked / topped off. new fan belt. Complete with Chrysler factory service manual, and factory parts book with excellent drawings. Bob (562) 618-3736
JamesR
Very cool! Original looking. You could drive around in that and pretend you're Harry Truman. "The Buck Stops Here!" (Hopefully the brakes do, too. 😄)
Fossil
That's a neat car and unusually nice condition. For some reason to me it looks like the front end has been repainted. Maybe just the pictures.
Guest
I noticed that as well. Maybe that's just where the owner ran out of steam, hand polishing it.

TerryB
B52s Love Shack song comes to mind when I see a Chrysler of that size! “I got me a Chrysler, it seats about 20” sure seems accurate!
