JanZverina
I've been doing some work on the rear seats and package shelf areas of my '63 Riv and came across this interesting weld that looks like some kind of assembly line marking. Has anyone seen something similar? Mine is not an early build - it has the ribbed aluminum instrument panel trim.

JanZverina
Apologies, I wasn't clear. I was wondering if the actual marks on the inner rear fender hump were read from a certain angle.
Jim Cannon
I think they are just some random drips of some sealer that you are "reading"
KRmanr
That is some interesting randomness! And is it truly welded metal, not sealer?
JanZverina
Definitely metal.Just curious if other ROA/BCA members have seen such markings, possible done as some kind of identifier during assembly, etc.
RivNut
I've had a number of 1st generation Rivieras that I've had the back seats out of for one reason or another a d none of them have had anything like this. 🤔
