6T-FinSeeker
For sale on Facebook: 1960 DeSoto Adventurer 4-door Sedan in Framingham, MA - $7,500 - Must be a member of Facebook to access Seller's contact information. Link: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2998819960330419/1960-DeSoto-Adventurer Seller's Description: 1960 DeSoto Adventurer 4-door Sedan Good condition Driven 150,000 miles Automatic transmission Exterior color: Red · Interior color: Red 1960 DESOTO ADVENTURER! 383 New 2 barrel carb, New master cylinder, rebuilt power steering gear box, new fuel pump and sending unit, new Petronix ignition and coil, 4 new shocks, new upper control arm bushings, new blinker switch, new dual exhaust with H pipe, 4 new wide white tires. The bad: a little rust/rot in the lower rear quarters, interior is rough, but not horrible. Engine runs well, but I have not done anything to it yet. Paint is ok for a driver. Chrome is decent. There was a dent in the rear (see last picture) which buckled the trunk lid. I had it fixed and replaced the trunk lid. Overall it is a good starting place for someone who wants to continue the restoration. Too many projects and not enough space is my reason for selling it. I'm into it for more than I'm asking, but thought it was a fair price. Thanks for looking. John_S_in_Penna
I think it's just the opposite situation, Jack. Evidently the seller is being very forthright: "There was a dent in the rear (see last picture) which buckled the trunk lid. I had it fixed and replaced the trunk lid." The new trunk-lid "DeSoto" script doesn't match the old. The new may therefore be incorrect.
JACK M
I hadn't thought of it that way. You are probably right.

Gearheadengineer
New seller looking for a quick flip at $12,500 asking. Better pics and shined up so it might work? Just ignore all that water that leaked into the trunk when they washed it. John_S_in_Penna
The original seller stated that the car has 150,000 miles on it. The new seller makes no mention of the mileage in his ad. I hope the flipper is honest.
