Mark Huston
Nice car. With the 35K asking price this car is going to remain in the family. 9

As I read the ad I said to myself, That’s a lot of money for a 59 four door Dodge no matter how nice it is.
Fossil
There's that Putty color again. Funny having grown up in the time frame I don't remember it being particularly popular. As far as the price, ouch.
supercub
It must have been vacuum sealed to stay in such good shape. The metalwork is very impressive. The front has kind of an angry look.
TerryB
If your going to ask $35k at least clean it up and have it professionally detailed. A lot of optimism on that price for a 4 door car as others have said.
EmTee
That's one mean-looking car! 1
supercub
Maybe it just needs those big fake eyebrows that people put on Beetles.
avgwarhawk
I like the car. It has interesting styling. Overall a unique design. I would drive the heck out of it. But not at $35K.
The 55er
$35K is way too much for this 4-door sedan. The chrome bumpers & grille look like they have turned brown and will need rechromed to bring the shine back. That's quite an expense on a big car like this. Maybe the seller thinks the two trophies on the hood make his car something special and he can price it at twice the amount it's actually worth. Did 1959 Dodges come with vinyl tops?
Gearheadengineer
Interesting wording. I assume they mean in the same family since purchased new? Or do they? Similar to this one, all of the cars I currently own have been in the same family since purchase. 😀
EmTee
I presume they converted to alternator when they added the aftermarket A/C.
supercub
I would say those multi-generational cars have seen many student drivers, plenty of mis-shifts, overestimated parking spaces, roads that weren't as straight as they thought... the body shops were multi generational too.

If it does, I'm thinking they've been added, along with the vinyl top. With all that being said, I like the car, weird color and all, just not $35,000 worth.

Judging by the aftermarket brake booster and dual reservoir master cylinder, it very well could. Might be a good thing on a big car like this.

Frank Wilkie
(In my opinion) , a 4 door, non big block, a small V8 pulling a AC unit, Not even 20K but it might just pull 12K if it relates to someone that their father or grandparents owned.. Still a nice over all good looking car.
kingrudy
No doubt by some of the comments this is certainly an odd duck. 35K was just plain delusional, 20K is nearing reality, but I don't think this family jewel is priced for a quick sale yet. I do like the tail lights, looks similar to DeSoto.
