My guess is that long haul shipping of cars was done mostly by rail back then, and that a set up like that was used for shorter distances. Just a guess. jpage Posted January 6, 2022 Share Posted January 6, 2022 Ford used the same engine in both cars, pickups and heavy trucks. The heavy trucks were geared lower for power but not speed.
