1953 Cadillac Fleetwood

This is on Barn Finds at 6100 dollars on E-Bay BIN. I know almost nothing about these but posted it so if anyone does, they can comment(or buy it?)  No profit for me either way

I believe that these still had the three inch longer wheelbase. Weren't '53's the 50 th Anniversary models?

It does have longer wheelbase and is their Golden anniversary car as well. 
 

This is still a time when the Fleetwoods were longer, better appointed cars, always a 4 door sedan. 
 

As is the mantra of the hobby now “buy the best one you can”.  Not worth restoring.

It's just a big old sedan with a cooked dash. It would be insanely expensive to restore, and the cosmetics are too far gone for most folks to want to just drive. It might be an OK parts car if the trim was all there, but it's not. It does have wires, though.

1953 was Ford's 50th anniversary as well. My grandmother had a '53 Ford sedan. It had an anniversary emblem at the center of the steering wheel-"50th Anniversary Jubilee"-something like that.

Ebay says it's SOLD.

Looks like the price never went up.  Off to sit in another garage until someone else gives up.
