The top picture is the same Peerless the late David Baird owned for several years, now in the possession of Robert Lederer. Either Pebble Beach got the model and year wrong and he had it restored; or Mr. Lederer owns two Peerlesses, a 1909 Mod. 19 and a 1910 Model 27. Either is possible, but they do look similar.

Someone familiar with the motorcar and owner told me today that it is the same car. It was owned by Thomas Illiff at one time; then Collins Bros. Jeep; and David Baird starting in 2008; was shown at Pebble Beach, I believe, back in the 60s; and has Brewster coachwork. David showed it at Hershey in the HPOF Class in 2013, and at the Bakersfield Swap Meet in 2014.

When the Collins brothers had it for sale at the Hilton Head Auction, they were promoting it (and their 1912) as million dollar cars, given the absolute untouched HPOF condition, including Peerless brand carburetor. This was in the wake of the sale of an Oldsmobile Limited that brought seven figures.
