Recommended Posts

Those home-built "sport customs" were popular in the immediate postwar decade.  Based on popular chassis and powertrains, frequently Ford Flathead V8's, they sectioned, welded and leaded readily available body panels into their vision of the Jaguar XK120.  There were small, newsstand magazines that featured cars and tips on build methods.
