Yes, and not a GM type either- maybe similar to a York, but the fins dont look right. Wonder if the A/C is functional? Cracks in steering wheel don't help, and worn through paint and trashed / baked door rubber gaskets indicate many more areasw to be addressed Edited August 27, 2021 by Marty Roth additional note (see edit history)
lancemb
This is a CA turned desert car, so interior is dry-rotted, but but body is straight and solid. I would assume dried out weatherstripping on any unrestored car this old. Seller says odometer has turned over so a rebuild should be done if any serious money was to be put in the car. Great car, but price is high for the work that's needed. Edited August 27, 2021 by lancemb (see edit history)
buickstan
The air conditioner is an after market brand called a Mark V. My dad ordered and bought a '60 Electra and had this same unit installed after a trip from California to Illinois and back during the summer of 1960. The unit blew so cold that ice came out the adjustable vents. This '58 Limited looks to have a factory air ride system pump under the hood, too.

Smartin
It’s always a good idea to INCREASE the price if the car won’t sell. 2

drhach
Maybe he's trying to raise the starting point of the low offers he's receiving.
Smartin
This is a $10k car to me. Worth that for the decent chrome and solid body. The seller of my blue Limited was asking $18k to begin with, and after a thorough inspection, expectations were dramatically lowered, and I forked over $10k for it. Mine has a functional interior, runs and drives, and has paint that covers every body panel. AND the rubber is all intact. And decent chrome. Did I get lucky? Maybe....but $12k was my ceiling. Thankfully, the seller was a realist in my situation. There is a part of me (now that I own one again) that wants this car to sell for $18k. But at the same time, I like the affordability factor.
