1934 Buick coupe arm rest removal?

The '37 Buick has a "panel" on the underside held in by two screws.

Once you remove this panel, you have access to the larger screws that hold the armrest to the door.

You don't have to remove the door panel.

I hope your '34 is the same!

Just touch the arrow on the upper right corner

I looked at my 35 40 series and it looks like the arm rest has two flat ears that push down into two vertical slots.Unfortunately my door panel  fabric covers the two ears. The fabric would have to be peeled back to gain access to any fasteners.Sorry I couldn't be of any more help.Greg.

No,,  I messed with it for several days, doing a little force but I didn't want to screw up anything...  I noticed  the two screws were machine thread so that tells me they are going into the two arms that appear to slide down. I am thinking that the arms that they screw into have a ridge on them and they won't slide up through the metal fixed holding slots in the door. I've used a block of wood under the arm rest and using a wood mallet tapping upward.. Nothing happening..
