Frank Wilkie
What would the ideal compression be for a early 1920s Buick 6 cyl. motor?
Larry Schramm
I believe that about 60 psi +- for a compression test would be good.
Frank Wilkie
Thanks Larry.. I'm running 65 to 70 on all cylinders.
Rusty_OToole
They only had 4.5:1 compression so 65 - 70 PSI is as good as it gets.
Frank Wilkie
Thank you.. This motor was rebuilt back in 1933 and never ran until I got it going abut 2 weeks ago. We dropped the pan and checked it out. Rebuilt the carburetor, reset the lifters.
