ghaskett
Anyone have, or know where I can get, the small rectangular hose that attaches to the two chrome side vents located on far sides of dash. Everything else is round, but I need the rectangular hose(s) only. For 1956 Special. Thanks. JohnD1956
I believe the round hose is reformed to the rectangle.
ghaskett
The pieces are rectangular, not round that was later beaten rectangular.
NorthernFirepower
For what it's worth, looks like the side outlets are fed by a smaller round into a transition to the rectangle in the manual. Question on my end, have you replaced the large round ductwork previously? If so, where did you purchase the ductwork?
ghaskett
The picture is somewhat generic. The side vents require rectangular hose. Outlet/inlet is rectangular. All other ports are circular and that hose is readily available over the counter stuff.
old-tank
I just measure the perimeter of the square/rectangle and then use a round duct with the same circumference and form it to fit. Best done on a bench. 1
powerage
I searched for a long time for a solution to this. Best I could do was squash the last approx 3 inches of the ducting in a vice, just enough to form an even oblong shape, semi bending the wire inner into shape. Then pushing the ducting into the rectangle vents, rather than over. It wants to spring back into a circular shape, creating enough force to hold it in pretty nicely. Trial and error, but I could not find any rectangular ducting. Matt 3
