58L-Y8
For Sale: 1956 Mercury Medalist 2dr sedan, manual shift - $11,500 - Union, KY 1956 Mercury Medalist - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle... (craigslist.org) All original 2 dr. sedan with manual steering, brakes and a 3 speed manual transmission on the column. Runs and drives fine with new tires, battery and brakes. Good glass, decent interior and the old Y block runs like a clock! Can't confirm the mileage but from the appearance of things it could be correct. Would consider trading for old car with an automatic transmission. odometer: 34000 Contact: Donald W Wells call: (859) 3-8-four-six-8-two-six Copy and paste in your email: f68e6c925ac233acbfd17951f97d8463@sale.craigslist.org I have no personal interest or stake in the eventual sale of this 1956 Mercury Medalist 2dr sedan. Note: The Medalist was the lowest-priced Mercury for 1956, this two door sedan was the least expensive model at $2,254. Other than the two-tone white top and heater/defrost, the original purchase sprung for no other options visible in the photos. Someone added an antenna for an aftermarket radio.
suchan
Has the usual mouse fur seats, but looks like a solid car.
Jeff Perkins / Mn
Might have mouse fir headliner also……I think that car could be made into a neat mild custom. I love that side trim…… Edited July 29, 2021 by Jeff Perkins / Mn (see edit history)
The 55er
The front bumper guards are missing and there are no pictures that show the overall rear of the car.

The Medalist didn't have the front bumper guards, they were optional! Edited July 29, 2021 by 58L-Y8 'didn't have' (see edit history)
