A short stroll in " St Etienne de Tulmont " in France

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, last weekend I went for a vintage car ride 20 minutes from home.
I went there with my brother in my 1978 Dodge Monaco police, and my godfather and my aunt came with their 1984 Renault 5 Alpine Turbo.
The beginning began with an appointment in a parking lot in Montauban (town 20 minutes from my home) where a person who works in a car garage made us see on the cars that he was working.
Sorry some photos are of poor quality :(

Thanks zipdang :) , I also think the 4cv  are great little cars ! :)
My grandpa had two at the time in the 50s / 60s (the first 4cv he had was the very first with the 6 chrome strips on the grille, it was black in color and with a rare option which is the convertible roof :)

A lot of wonderful cars! I love that 1915/1920 Renault. The two 1920s Citroens were nearly as impressive. I like early cars! Many others were very interesting.

The petroliana collection was very impressive!

Thank you for sharing these photos.

Awesome garage tour!  Someone in France has a great collection of vintage service station signs and merchandizing items.  I like seeing what the French market had to offer the motoring public at one time.  Closest we can get to France in North America is a ferry ride to St. Pierre & Miquelon of the coast of Newfoundland, but I don't think there are any collectors there.

Great Tour! Thanks for the photos. Almost like being there without a plane ticket. That private collection/garage is awesome in every way. I did not recognize that 1930 motorcycle. At one time I had a very large collection of European bikes and thought I had seen them all!

Wow. I've never seen wire wheels like this before. Does anyone know the story on them? Did they come on this car originally?

I LOVE the dark blue Peugot wagon! I've never seen one before. Such a great assemblage of photos. Looks like a truly enjoyable event with magnificent French weather!

Thank you very much Wayne Sheldon  :)
Yes the Renault and the Citroën from the 1920s are very beautiful, and in very good working condition ;)
They drove at around 60 / 70 km/h during the ride, and they drove almost 2 hours without any problem ;)

Thank you very much 8E45E ;) , yes it's a very nice collection and this person is very nice ;)
He will soon make a roof over the three red gas stations to make it look like a real vintage gas station.
He also continues to look for old signs, ... to complete his collection.
On top of that the jukebox was working and there was good music all over the garage, and people were playing the old foosball ( baby foot in France )  that there was. There was a good atmosphere :)
A I don't know if there are any collections of this in ST Pierre & Miquelon, maybe yes I don't know ;)

Thank you very much JamesR, the Simca Chambord, Versaille, ... ,  were luxury cars at the time and according to the customer's order, they could be sold with these wheels :) .
You could also buy some to adapt them.

Yes this Peugeot 203 station wagon is beautiful, and it is in very good condition ;)
the seats, ... were completely restored as well as the car :)

A I did not know :) , but it is true that the car on the edge of beaches / sea, ages badly because of the sea air (salt) .

But it's true that it's interesting to see the cars down there :)

A very respectable speed for a small car of the 1920s!
